Once a month is still an improvement from last year...

Life is going pretty well!  Brighton started crawling on Valentine's day, but she is still figuring out the whole turning idea.  I often hear her crying because she has run into a wall or the couch or something and keeps hitting her head against it.  Am I allowed to laugh at this slightly absurd but hilarious situation?  I say yes.  But don't tell her when she's older.  ;)    Devri is growing up and getting bigger and smarter by the minute.  We recently moved her to a big girl bed, and to help her adjust I laid down by her for her nap and started to get sleepy myself.  Devri thought the whole thing was super exciting, however, and kept kicking the covers off.  In an effort to try to calm her down, I told her I was cold, so could she please stop kicking off the covers?  She immediately got up, tucked the blankets around me, and put her hand on my forehead.  Then she went to the kitchen and got me a cup of water.  Then she tidied the room.  Then she read me a book.  Where is that button I pushed that made such an instant, incredible change in my daughter?  In two seconds she went from two and a half to twenty.  It makes me want to laugh, cry, and gape in awe.  She really is amazing.   Don't worry though, she quickly returned to her age.  Yesterday when she wanted to play with a toy that I didn't want her to play with, I did the whole I'm-going-to-pawn-this-off-on-your-father trick and told her to ask her dad.  She then ran over to Trevor and then with a big grin yelled, "ASK!"  I love my girls so much.

Devri is getting really good at dressing up.  She definitely has a lot of opinions about what she wears, and the Cinderella dress with the beret is a good example of her style.  She like to flaunt her fashion everywhere.  I like to let her.
