So Trevor and I make these green smoothies that really rock (banana, berries, pineapple juice concentrate, and equal parts spinach, kale, and swiss chard). So healthy, and usually pretty good too. We're training Devri to get her greens in every day, and so far I think she's doing a good job! We dipped our finger in the goop and she dive bombed on every offer. We're also teaching her to feed herself with a spoon. Her aim's not perfect, but the spoon eventually gets where she wants it to go!
Our ward is pretty interesting in that most of them are retired, wealthy businessmen and their wives and older children. It's interesting coming to this area after living in our old dirt-poor rabbit-speed-reproducing neighborhood. In some ways, I miss having a large number of women in my same situation that I can see and hang out with. At the same time though, it's really nice having a wider range of people to see on Sunday. Older folks really know how to fulfill callings, and it's such an example to me. They do everything with thoughtfulness, finesse, and 100% heart. It's nice having deacons (I know you're punning with my last name!) pass the sacrament and having the youth speakers and such. It's so refreshing and exciting!
Trev just finished his applications to grad school - we'll see what happens! I may be able to teach a Biblical Hebrew class at a nearby school - we're still looking into it at this point. I love Hebrew. Just so you know.
Funny story about Devri at church today. Major blowouts are pretty common in these parts. We've tried different diapers, different diets, whatever. Her aim is unstoppable. So, we have a massive blowout in Sacrament meeting. I take her to the mother's room, find we only have one diaper and no change of clothes. The result - cute Devri in just a diaper and a small, insufficient top. I tried wrapping the blanket around her, and that ended up nearly pulling the diaper off of her. Trev was the valiant husband who came to my rescue, took her home for a quick change and restocked the diaper bag. So, thankfully, this story has a happy ending.

Alright, Alright...
Well, everybody else has one, why not us then, eh? Trev and I have put up one blog before, but really didn't keep up with it, but I guess we'll try again. Devri's doing awesomely. She's rolling over, laughing hysterically at random, random things, and overall just being the cutest, most wonderful daughter in the world. Trev's finishing up his grad school applications and enjoying bus driving. I'm loving being a wife, mother, sister, daughter, volunteer, cook... etc. Life is SO good!
